Charles Manetta (Proprietor)
Charles’s background, prior to founding TrainingTeam, was in airline ground
operations and services. His airline work included operations management,
development of airport terminal design in the UK, and airline handling
procedures development at IATA, training centre management, (including
the introduction of Dangerous Goods training and Security training
in the UK).
Charles started TrainingTeam in 1988.
He will be pleased to discuss with you any aspects of your training
requirements.
Chris Gray (Manager)
Chris manages TrainingTeam, and also our sister business TranslationTeam. Chris’s management background has been in airline operations, air cargo and aviation security, all at a senior level both in the UK and overseas. Chris will advise you about courses, discuss your training requirements, manage bespoke training projects, and organise in-house courses for you. Chris is a fully approved DfT instructor for Air Cargo Security courses Levels A-G, including X-ray procedures and is accredited to deliver the X-Ray Competency Testing Programme, GSAT and Dangerous Goods by Air awareness.
Linda Comolli (Course Administrator)
Linda has been with TrainingTeam since 1990. Linda will answer your questions, take your bookings, send your joining instructions and invoice, collect payments, and issue certificates. She will also remind you when your revalidation is due, book classrooms, and keep an eye on bill payments and invoices.
Bob Comolli (Sales and Marketing)
Bob is responsible for sales development and promotion. He will answer your questions, advise you about courses, and discuss your training requirements. He will also remind you when your revalidation is due.

Ian Gough (Dangerous Goods Instructor and DGSA)
Ian is an expert in the carriage of Dangerous Goods by all modes of transport. Formerly with the Royal Air Force, Ian is a qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor, and has been conducting courses in the carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air, by Road, and by Sea for TrainingTeam since 1998. He holds a Certificate in Education. Ian is fully approved by the UK CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) as an instructor in the carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air, including radioactive materials.
Tim
Perks ( Dangerous Goods Instructor)
Tim’s expertise includes air
traffic control, civil and military, and the offshore oil industry.
Tim has been conducting dangerous goods courses for TrainingTeam
since 1997.
Tim is fully approved by the UK CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) as an
instructor in the carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air.
Andrew Wakely (Dangerous Goods Instructor)
Andrew is an airline professional with
experienced in airline operations, ground handling and training. Andrew
used to be an active private pilot, and is currently the City and Guilds
assessor for examinations in aviation subjects. In addition, he is
an External Verifier for aviation NVQs.
Andrew
is fully approved by the UK CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) as an instructor
in the carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air, including radioactive materials.
Dan Lee (Dangerous Goods by Road and HSE Instructor, and DGSA)
Dan was 20 years with the police before changing to
aviation training management. He is a fully qualified Health & Safety
Consultant, Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser and Aviation Cargo Security
Manager He is fully approved by the DfT as an instructor for Air
Cargo Security.
Sue Fitzgerald (Dangerous Goods Instructor)
Sue has worked in the air cargo industry for many years and is experienced in all aspects of air cargo management
and training. She is fully approved by the UK CAA (Civil Aviation
Authority) as an instructor in the carriage of Dangerous Goods by
Air, including radioactive materials.
John Head (Security Instructor)
John's background is in airline
cabin services, including VIP aviation and special flight management,
UK and Overseas. He is one of the most experienced aviation security
instructors in the UK. John is fully approved by the DfT as an instructor
for Air Cargo Security and Aircrew Security.
John Hill-Paul (Dangerous Goods Instructor and DGSA)
John has been involved in the Transport of Dangerous Goods since 1994 and is expert in all modes of transport. Through this period he has worked as the Compliance Manager with a Global Freight Forwarder, spent four years working with the Regulator (CAA) and is also a qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor. John has been conducting courses in the carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air, Road, and Sea for the last ten years.
