Aviation Security Training

European and UK legislation specifies that security measures must be in force at airports and airlines to protect passengers, cargo and property.  Aviation Ground Security Training forms a significant part of these requirements.

Ground Security Operative and Supervisor Training
TrainingTeam can deliver Aviation Ground Security training courses to meet your obligations under Directions issued to Airport Managers and Airline Operators as defined in the UK National Aviation Security Programme (NASP).

We can provide Aviation Ground Security Operative training and Aviation Ground Security Supervisor training courses including X-ray, and National X-ray Competency Test (NXCT) as defined in the UK NASP (8 Nov 2008).

The course can be tailored to meet the specific needs of security staff.  It begins with the 'core' subjects of:

• the threat to aviation

• objectives and organisation of aviation security

• security communications

• response to security incidents

• legal powers and the role of the police

• maintaining effective security

• general awareness

Further topics can be included as required.

Refresher Training for both Operatives and Supervisors must be undertaken at intervals
not exceeding 13 months.

Aircrew Security Courses
This training is mandatory for all aircrew of UK registered aircraft. TrainingTeam can deliver the required DfT training syllabus for those aircrew identified in DfT Direction 12(d).

The course material consists of 'core' material plus 6 modules covering:

• searching and checking aircraft

• controlling access

• hijack countermeasures

• threat assessment

• emergency procedures

• handling the media. 

Refresher Training must be undertaken at intervals not exceeding 13 months.  

Other TrainingTeam courses that may be of interest:
