DGSA Consultancy

If you do not wish to employ your own DGSA, then TrainingTeam can provide a DGSA under a DGSA service contract.

The Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) will -

  1. Conduct an initial audit to identify current and required performance to ensure compliance with both ADR and CDG regulations. (Note; a DGSA has no statutory responsibility for procedures related to the carriage of dangerous goods by air or sea, but an advisory role can be built into a contract).

  2. Conduct the statutory Annual Audit and Report that reviews arrangements and procedures and details shipment and compliance issues and provides recommendations for improvements where required.

  3. Provide the statutory report on any incident involving dangerous goods.

  4. Provide advice and guidance, by e-mail or telephone or by attendance on-site, on the carriage of dangerous goods.

  5. Provide advice and guidance on the training your staff would need to comply with regulations and undertake their duties effectively.

The scope and cost of a DGSA Service Contract will vary between undertakings. In particular the size of the site or office, multiple sites, and the frequency of dangerous goods consignments and other factors. We can also include advice on dangerous goods by air and by sea within the service contract if required.  Even if you already have an in-house DGSA you may require short term cover for absence.  Please call us to discuss your requirements.
