Security Managers Training (August 10) The Department for Transport have just confirmed that Security Managers (including cargo Level G managers) are only required to refresh their training every 36 months. Security Programmes (29 April 10) With the recent changes to legislation all Security Programmes submitted after 29 April 2010 must be written in the correct format and reflect all relevant EC and UK security requirements. Programmes written before 29 April 2010 must be updated to the new standard and fully reflect Regulation EC300. If you need help with the preparation of your cargo security programme please call us. Changes to European baseline aviation security standards (29 April 10) With effect 00:01 29 April this year 2 changes have been introduced that directly impact on UK Regulated Agents. The format of the agent's number has been changed to reflect that used within Europe and the format of the Regulated Agents CSC has also changed. Call us if you need help with either of these issues. Level G Training now a requirement for Site Security Representatives (29 July 09) EU legislation now requires Regulated Agents operating multiple sites to appoint a 'Site Security Representative' (SSR) for every site or branch (except the one where the Security Manager is based - he or she will assume the role of SSR). The training requirements for SSRs is the same as that for Security Managers, i.e. Level G.
