Course Programme Guide

This course is restricted to students who either :

  • hold a valid Dangerous Goods by Air Certificate

    •                               OR

  • have previously completed a full Dangerous Goods by Road course and are attending in order to re-validate

    •

    (Evidence of previous training may be required).

    Morning

    • Introduction to ADR manuals and similarities with Air programme

    • Containment systems

    • Packaging procedures

    • Limited Quantity provisions

    • Consignment preparation

    • Mixed packing

    Afternoon

    • Marking and labelling of packages and IBCs

    • Transport documentation including Tremcards

    • Mixed loading

    • Placarding of Containers, Tanks and Vehicles

    • Overview of UK road regulations

    • Exemptions from the Transport Operation

    • Consolidation exercise

    Revalidation Training - For students who have undertaken previous full training, this course may be treated as a re-validation. (It is recommended that qualifications are re-validated every two years)
